Leadership

Nicholas C. York

CEO

Nick York is an entrepreneur and strategic business advisor with experience ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies, universities and national non-profit organizations. Nick has been an owner, investor, director and partner in several companies throughout his career, including his most recent role as Co-founder and CEO of Transom Group, LLC.

Prior to dedicating himself full time to his most recent entrepreneurial endeavors, Nick had a highly successful twenty year legal practice with firms in Cleveland, Chicago and Columbus. Nick was a founding partner in the national law firm of Tucker Ellis, LLP where he served as the Chair of the firm’s Business Department which included all of the firm’s transactional practices. Prior to that, Nick founded and chaired the firm’s Public Law and Finance practice group, which included government affairs and finance work at the state level as well as in Washington, DC.

Nick has served as a Trustee and Vice Chair of the University of Akron Board of Trustees, a nine member board responsible for management of the 25,000+ students, state university. Nick’s work at UA focused extensively on Strategic Planning and Student Success initiatives for the University.

Nick also served as Vice Chair and Board Member of the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE) which at the time was among the largest small business member organizations in the country. Nick has been a champion of entrepreneurship on the national level as a Board Member of the National Small Business Association (NSBA) in Washington, DC.

Nick has played leadership roles in a number of community and non-profit organizations focused on improving the lives and conditions of the communities around him.  Nick is a Co-founder and board member of the Mindful Nation Foundation (MNF). Inspired by the book, A Mindful Nation, by his long-time friend, Congressman Tim Ryan, Nick helped launch the organization to bring together the best in cognitive science, community leadership and proven techniques to develop community programs to improve the lives of Veterans, Children, Teachers, Healthcare providers and Leaders ( https://mindfulnation.org ).

Nick has also served as a Board Member and Advisor to countless other local non-profits with a focus on children and education.

Nick has been recognized for his leadership and community involvement throughout his career, having been selected as a member of the prestigious Leadership Cleveland Class of 2009 and as a Crain’s Cleveland “40 under 40” in 2004.

Nick is an avid student of history, politics, and entrepreneurship having spent his entire career at the intersection of business, technology and government. Nick is an avid runner, triathlete and sports fan. But Nick’s greatest joys in life are his wife Karry and their four children, Alex, Sophie, Edgars and Ryan for which his holding company KASER Enterprises, LLC is named.

Visionary, entrepreneur, change agent with a track record of success, Miguel has built performing organizations in multinational environments creating a culture of continuous improvement, partnership and customer focus, bringing value and positively impacting enterprise performance and customer satisfaction.

Has led large teams in domestic and international markets to deliver large scale programs including IT Strategic Planning, Shared Services, Business Process Outsourcing, IT Financial Transformation, Acquisition Integrations, Enterprise IT Governance and Security, Data Harmonization, Business Information Visibility / Data Warehouse, ERP & CRM implementations, Applications Development and IT Infrastructure modernization.

A firm believer in technology as means to maximize potential, Miguel has expanded his domain of proficiency beyond IT to a broader scope including IoT, Industrial Automation, Industry 4.0 and Energy Services.

Maritza Botello

Managing Director

Lida Maritza Botello Ocampo is a specialist in market research and analysis required to define brand diagnosis and projection, identification of needs, trends and competitive environment, purchase dynamics cycle and consumer behavior. All previously mentioned allowed her to become a great professional expert in managing market penetration strategies, brand positioning and commercial management, for the introduction and representation of national and international companies.

Lida Maritza is a Psychologist from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, with a specialization in Marketing Management from the Universidad del Rosario. Her studies include: Consumer Psychology from the London Chartered Institute of Marketing CIM, Public Relations from the LCCI (London Chamber of Commerce & Industry), Advertising from Cavendish College London and Sales and Service Management from EAFIT. She has worked for companies in various sectors of the economy such as mass consumption, financial, technology, telecommunications, among others. For 17 years she has worked as a strategic business consultant, accompanying her client companies to develop their markets based on the design and implementation of marketing, innovation, distribution, communication and development strategies that the company needs to grow and achieve sustainable results over time.

In recent years, Lida Maritza has focused on developing technological markets, seeking to generate a positive impact on the quality of life of people and cities through technology. It is in this same way, that she takes on great challenges, assuming the commitment to make the world a better place through the integration between the social and technological fields, bringing integral solutions that seek the well-being between the public and private sector. She looks forward to focusing the true smart city on the person, its diversity and complexity, in search of achieving efficient cities, integrated and automated, connecting existing information, stakeholders, renewable resources and community engagement, to turn them into sustainable, competitive and innovative cities.

Today Lida Maritza has the great challenge of conquering the Colombian and Latin American market with Transom Group Latam, committed to the environment, collaborative work and the optimization of resources, through the design, manufacture and commercialization of technological solutions in public lighting, remote management, smart city, cybersecurity and energy management in generation and modernization.
